Mediclinic remains SA’s favourite healthcare brand

Brand South Africa and Brand Finance Africa recently announced the Top 50 Most Valued brands in South Africa and Mediclinic has once again been named as the top healthcare services provider ranking 10th in the list.
According to the list Mediclinic gained 16% in their brand value between 2015 and 2016 appearing with other strong South African brands such as MTN, Vodacom and Sasol.
The leading brands are listed by financial valuation in South Africa and their part in driving competitiveness and the nation’s reputation. Brand Finance Africa’s CEO, Kingsley Makhubela believes that, ‘South African commercial brands are a key component of a strong nation brand and how this is experienced by both domestic and international audiences. Commercial brands are key messengers in positioning the country competitively.’
Chairman of Brand Finance Africa, Thebe Ikalafeng, commented, ‘The story of the Top 50 corporate brands is a good story for the South Africa Nation Brand as well as the continental story.
