Completed over eight grueling days, the Absa Cape Epic is undoubtedly one of the world’s most recognised extreme races. With 650 teams participating, Mediclinic has taken into consideration the growing requirements for water in a resource stressed environment as well as the health threat this poses to riders.

Public Private Initiative at Mediclinic Vergelegen and Strand

It’s Saturday morning and in the sunny, newly built paediatric ward at Mediclinic Vergelegen, there is a tangible feeling of apprehension and excitement. Today, 10 public health patients (five from Red Cross Children’s Hospital patients and five from Groote Schuur) are about to undergo long-awaited eardrum repair surgery at Mediclinic Vergelegen and Mediclinic Strand.

Working together to help people hear better [infographic]

There was an atmosphere of calm anticipation and friendly efficiency at the newly-refurbished Mediclinic Vergelegen and nearby Mediclinic Strand hospitals on Saturday. Five children from Red Cross Children’s Hospital as well as five adults from Groote Schuur Hospital were there to have life-changing eardrum repair (tympanoplasty) surgery.
