Mediclinic Vergelegen reopens after flood

Posted on 25 November 2013

Following the flood of 15 November, Mediclinic Vergelegen will reopen its doors to the community on Wednesday, 27 November 2013, with the majority of doctors’ consulting rooms, four theatres as well as 90 ward and 10 ICU/High Care beds functioning as a multidisciplinary hospital.

The Emergency Centre will also reopen but trauma cases will be referred to the nearest available facility as radiology
services are as yet not available. The pathology services based at the hospital will be operational. Specialist doctors who practice at the hospital will consult from their rooms and admit patients to the hospital.

The estimated date for the completion of final interim clean up operations is 31 January, 2014.
